Please note, The map below is for reference only!  We ARE NOT starting from the 120 Tavern
Start location is the McDonald's at the 288 exit of off I-75
To help people figure out
how long it will take to get to the McDonald's
I've added a map showing the distance from the 120 Tavern to the McDonald's
in Cartersville.
Below is a map with the time and distance from the 120 tavern in Marietta

--------------------------------------------------------------

See pictures below of McDonald's in Cartersville

With maybe 27 cars, some of us might have
to park on Canyon Pkwy

According to Google Maps, This puts us on 113.
I'm planning for us to leave at approximately 10:30am

We should arrive at the gun club around noon.  Lunch will start at about 12:30.  This gives us all
about 30 minutes to watch an 8 minute video and sign a safety form.  We can get approximately 8 to 10 people in the viewing room.
The gun club needs to make a copy of
your driver's license for all shooters.

If anyone can get to the gun club earlier than Saturday, then they can watch the safety video earlier and
will not need to watch it again on Saturday.

Below is the our cruise route

There is a good chance that, with a caravan this long, some of us will get separated.  The lead cars
will slow down when traffic permits to allow
for catchup.

-------------------------------------------------
The price for this cruise is $15.00 per person for lunch,
including drink and tips,
and
$15.00 per person to shoot.
Targets, ear protection, and some firearms
and ammunition are included.

I've already paid the gun club,
so please put your cash or check
(made out to me Phil Lewis)
in an envelope with your name on it
and I will collect it on Saturday.

If you have any questions, Contact Phil Lewis

---------------------------------------------

We have filled our allotment of
Pandas for this cruise.

If there is continued interest,
we can do it again in June

I have had some people tell me that they
don't want to shoot because they, either
haven't done it at all or not in a long time.

This is a great opportunity to do it!
We will have a whole range section
just for our club members.
(8 lanes)

We will have a least 2 RSO's
(Range Safety Officers)
there to help out.
One Governor's Gun Club officer,
myself, and other of our
own experienced club volunteers.

I will be there for any firearms help
including loading and shooting techniques.

Please consider this shooting opportunity!

Only 50 members can be part
of this Panda-Lunch and Shoot!

The Panda Cruise

We will leave at 10:30am
Start location is the McDonald's at the 288 exit
off of I-75

Please note... No Panda's will be harmed during this event!

Why the Panda Cruise?
Because of this...

“A panda walks into a cafe. He orders a sandwich, eats it, then draws a gun and fires two shots in the air.

"Why?" asks the confused waiter, as the panda makes towards the exit. The panda produces a badly punctuated wildlife annual and tosses it over his shoulder.

"I'm a panda," he says, at the door. "Look it up."

The waiter turns to the relevant entry and, sure enough, finds an explanation.

Panda. Large black-and-white bear-like mammal, native to China.

Eats, shoots and leaves
.”

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On the Panda Cruise, we will meet (on a hopefully) nice sunny day
(meeting place to be determined)
and have a nice 2 hour drive, along some winding roads, and
then end up at the Governor's Gun Club in Powder Springs.

Route to be determined.

Lunch will be in the Lounge
(or the patio, weather permitting)

at 12:30pm

I will be accepting all payment for the cruise because the charge is going on my club account.
Please put your cash in an envelope with your name on it.

(Immediately after the cruise I'll be driving to the nearest
Casino and placing it all on red! ;-)     )

Lunch will be $15.00 per person including softdrinks and tip.
This will be a buffet lunch with
Burgers, BBQ, and Chicken Tenders,
baked beans, slaw, salad and chips.

Shooting charge will be $15.00 person
which will include my personal firearms and ammunition.
I will be supplying:

 Two .22 caliber pistols
One 9mm pistol and
two .38 caliber revolvers.

Of course, your own firearms and ammunition are welcome.

We will have EIGHT lanes reserved for us for two hours.
(until approxiately 4:00pm)

There are two shooters allowed per lane at a time.

After shooting we will rotate other shooters to the open lanes.

You can watch your friends shooting through the observation windows.

You will be required to watch a 5 minute range safety video
and sign an information safety form.

You are required to give your driver's license to the Gun Club.
They will put it on a clip board and give you an electronic
pass to get into the lanes.

Photography is allowed on the range.
